Simply fantastic. small hotel, great staff, large rooms, massive bed overlooking the beach and sea, great bathrooms. Breakfast taken in the nearbye restaurant was pure quality. roof top pool in morning then ground floor pool in afternoon. Always a sunlounger free. towels were plentiful. Massages also highly recommended. We ate at the hotel restaurant 100 yards away on all but one night and regretted going somewhere else. Food was lovely and great service in beautiful surroundings. Overall fantastic stay. should be 5 star hotel.
A wonderful stay, highly recommend
Beautiful boutique adults-only hotel with 27 suites overlooking the bay. I stayed in room 3103 - a large room with a huge bed, sofa, dressing area with a double-sized shower and separate toilet. My room had a mini bar and snacks to purchase and a coffee machine and kettle. A lovely-sized balcony overlooking the sea was a great space o relax with a glass of wine and watch the boats sail by. The two swimming pools were small and could get busy at times. I wanted to swim every day, which made it difficult with other guests just wanting to mill around in the pool. Just about enough loungers and day beds, although the close proximity to the track road was quite noisy, especially when the coaches pulled up. The gym is small and could only comfortably fit 2 people, and the aircon was either not working or insufficient to keep the room cool enough to want to work out. The breakfast was fantastic - a great selection. The service was at times not very good. On a few occasions, I had to go to the bar to serve my drinks. I also found the evening meals a bit hit and miss. I ordered a steak cooked medium, and I sent it back 3 times as it was rare. The rest of my food was cold by the time the steak was cooked. The hotel is right next to another, larger hotel owned by the same company, and I often saw guests from the other hotel sneaking into our to use our swimming pool, which wasn't a great experience. I was quite surprised that there was no information available recommending things to do/places to go - there are no organised trips, and I wasn't even offered a map of the local area. The location of the hotel is great - tucked away in the bay and away from the crowds but close enough to walk into the main town - it is a lovely walk. The local beach isn't particularly anything to write about - you must hire a car to get to the nice beaches. The local ferry is a great and cost-effective way to get around - taxis are a nightmare, especially on Fri and Sat evenings. I waited over an hour, and taxi drivers will cancel or not turn up if they get a better fare. The hotel is exceptionally clean - my room was cleaned every day, and towels were replaced twice a day, which is excessive. Why is there no toilet brush in the toilet? The suites are supposed to be soundproof, but I ended up wearing earplugs at night due to the noise from other rooms. Disappointed that you only get a bottle of water upon arrival, which is not replenished. I used the water in the gym rather than buying bottles. In the afternoon, from 4:30, there are rolls, small cakes, fruit and a selection of hot and cold drinks available, which was a great touch. Can't praise the staff enough - Jennifer and Andres plus all the cleaning, bar staff etc. It was the hotel staff that made my stay great. Overall, I would highly recommend it, although the hotel is really expensive, so I most likely wouldn't return.
Beautiful hotel with excellent facilities
Everything about this hotel is first class. The staff, the rooms and the facilities. We stayed for seven nights and were looked after really well. The location of the hotel, just a short walk to the marina and many restaurants makes it ideal. The reception staff were always helpful and Jennifer in particular would brighten up anybodies day. She made a point of welcoming you as you passed reception and was such a happy person. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.
