What’s the weather like in Barcelona in June?
The Mediterranean climate is in full swing in June, which means you can expect high temperatures, plenty of sunshine and clear blue skies for most of the month.
Geographical influences
June is a great time to visit Barcelona because the spring weather is very pleasant and temperatures continue to increase throughout the month. Barcelona sits on an elevated plateau on Spain’s northeast coast. Its position leaves it open to cooling winds from the Atlantic, which can lower temperatures and make the weather much colder at night.
Averages
The sun stays out for 12 hours a day in June, which is a big improvement from previous months and continues to increase towards the end of the month. Temperatures range from 16°C to daily highs of 24°C. Rain is very rare and Barcelona weather in June is mostly warm, dry and sunny. There won’t be more than nine rainy days with an average rainfall of 24mm. North winds and breezes blowing in from the south-west are more common in June and help to cool temperatures down during the hottest time of the day.
