Overpriced, poor service, ghastly food

Jan 2022 | Danielg1399
Overpriced, poor service, ghastly food. Holiday cost $18,000. Room was never cleaned during entire stay. Rude, bossy reception staff obsessed with correct mask wearing (contrast with Hard Rock Hotel at Universal where live and let live is the attitude). Food diabolical and vastly overpriced. Disney don’t even try to hide any more that they want to fleece you for every penny, providing about as little as possible as they can get away with in return. Infrequent and late buses mean you’re always waiting around. You simply can’t walk anywhere. They make it as difficult as possible to escape the resort to go to non-Disney restaurants. Disney has lost its way. Never again.

OK but not great

Jambo House has a beautiful lobby, lots of animals, friendly and knowledgeable park rangers, and a good pool. The restaurants at Jambo House were OK (food at Disney is generally deplorable), and Sanaa at Kidani Village was great. The staff at the hotel was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the rooms were somewhat small with limited amenities. Also, our room was barely cleaned all week. I understand and appreciate limiting towel and sheet changes for conservation purposes, but coming home to a dirty room every day was depressing, especially given the high price. I was also disappointed that, even though we were staying at an Animal Kingdom hotel, we ended up having to pay for an Uber to take us to the Animal Kingdom Park - I expected to have many more frequent shuttles to this park. Lastly, Animal Kingdom slapped a daily $25 parking fee onto our invoice even though we did not have a car. Not looking forward to fighting with Disney to get these charges removed…

Worst treatment

My name is Rafael Vidal-Reyes I booked a trip since November for a proposal on December 12. First of all the resort staff is good, but the service is trash for 1300. I got my "deluxe savanna view" room at 5:30 pm. It's dark outside, the room is small, and other hotels like Marriott and Hyatt are much better. We had a full itinerary but was not be able to be done because the resort was tending the room for 6 hours. We had to fish our clothes from out luggage in the middle of everyone coming in and out. My siblings had to change in the restroom of the hotel because we didn't have a room on time. My proposal was delayed 4 hours because we had to wait in the lobby the whole damn day. I would not recommend nor will I ever come here, or any other disney resort a complete rip off. They only accommodate to people with money, not your every day person.
