Disappointing Customer Service Experience When Changing Reservation Dates

We made a mistake by reserving the wrong date - Feb 11th instead of Mar 11th. I called the hotel directly, and they were helpful and polite, promising that changing the reservation to Mar 11th wouldn't be a problem, but that it needed to be done through booking.com. When I contacted booking.com, they tried reaching the hotel several times by phone and email, but received no response. So, I called the hotel again, and they assured me that it wouldn't be a problem, but that the change had to go through booking.com. I contacted booking.com again, and this time, they successfully reached the hotel. However, the hotel refused to change the reservation, claiming that both Feb 11th and Mar 11th were fully booked. We noticed that at the time of writing this review, rooms were available on Mar 11th. While we admit the mistake was ours, we're disappointed with the hotel's customer service. They initially promised to help us, but their response changed once booking.com got involved. Unfortunately, we'll have to find another place to stay, even though we were looking forward to our visit.

No shuttle service

Being close to Universal Studios, I expected the hotel to offer shuttle service. We’ve used the other Hampton Inn near the park and they offered a shuttle so not sure why this one doesn’t. This put a damper on our experience as we had to pay for parking both days.

Very nice hotel

Great location, clean and very friendly hotel staff. The complimentary breakfast was perfect for us with lots of choices, make your own waffles, oatmeal, cereal, wrapped apples to go, coffee, juice and more.
