Baymont Inn & Suites is a family-friendly hotel in Orlando, Florida, a short drive from the popular attractions of Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort. International Drive is also a short walk away, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The interiors are simple with neutral furnishings. Within the hotel complex, there's a central swimming pool area with a heated pool, a separate kids' pool and a splash area. Here you can relax and make use of the hotel's Wi-Fi. Alternatively, if you want to be more active, you can head over to the fitness room for a workout. Nearby International Drive has plenty of restaurants for daytime and evening meals. The Titanic Exhibition has an interactive museum, artefacts and full-scale recreations of the ship. Here, you'll also find ICON Orlando 360, which features over 40 bars, restaurants and attractions, For views over Orlando, you can visit the observational wheel and see over to the East Coast and Cape Canaveral on a clear day. When you fancy a day of bargain hunting, the Orlando Premium Outlets are just a short drive away.

Universal Orlando Resort is 3km from Baymont Inn & Suites, while Walt Disney World Resort is a 15km drive away. International Drive is also 1km from the hotel. It's a popular district, with attractions and amusement parks alongside shopping opportunities and places to eat. Directly north of the hotel, 3km away, is the Universal's Volcano Bay Water Theme Park with rides, pools and slides suitable for the whole family. If you want some peaceful time away, you can take a day trip to Cocoa Beach. A collection of seaside neighbourhoods are set on a long sandy beach. Cape Canaveral is nearby.

There are plenty of restaurants, both casual and smart, within walking distance of the hotel, while the major attractions of Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World Resort offer plenty of places to eat, with a wide selection of cuisines.

Stay away, especially if you are a local!!

The hotel overall was not bad, for the cost. You get what you pay for, that's for sure! However, if you are a local, you are treated VERY unfairly! I was in town for only 2 days for business. After I booked, I received a notice I would have to pay a deposit. For 1-2 days, it was only $50. More than that, it was about $100. Still no big deal. However, if you are from central Florida, a BROAD area, then your deposit is $200!!! When I tried to question the merits, and how unfair it was, the front desk lady became indignant and rude. When I mentioned that I was going give them a negative review, she said I was "threatening her" and proceeded to cancel my reservation! I was reduced to having to give her a fake apology for the audacity to question why the deposit was more than the action room cost, just to get her to not cancel the reservation. She was completely unprofessional, and used her position to coerce and exert power. I will never stay at this hotel again because of her actions, besides, the hotel is not exactly the Hilton anyway, it's in rough repair and outdated. Stay elsewhere, especially if you are a local! But moreover, you DO NOT make idle threats to cancel someone's reservation when they already paid you in full for the room, just because you don't like that they disagree with your policy. Instead, why not try to win them over with a little dignity and respect! Treat everyone fairly, not label them based on where they live! Otherwise, after they checkout, they may just double-down, like me, and give you poor reviews everywhere they can, which may cost you more in business than the deposit itself!

We stayed for 28 nights so please believe this review we saw and experienced the good and the bad + Positives *Location *Bed was comfy and so were the pillows *Free Breakfast although repetitive did the job — Negatives *Dirty - dirt everywhere, the bedding and towels were clean however the underlying condition of the room was disgusting as are the outdoors areas *We found a condom under the chair *Washing machines/dryers not working *Gym - not open for the full 28 days *A car was broken into, the glass was still on the floor when we checked out 10 days later *AC units are so old/ noisy but a good thing is they drown out the other residents noise *People hanging around who are clearly not staying at the hotel and picking up cigarette buts *2 of the front desk were lovely and helpful the others - awful We sent photos to our travel agent of the poor interior and we were told that the hotel had denied the photos were from this hotel!! Do not stay here - there are much better options.

Very run down, incredible they charge at $24 resort fee!

Reserved room and went early to view property, Has old parking lot with holes and weeds around edges. Industrial and commercial large vehicles were parked around the lot. Trash also around grounds. Rooms doors were dented and needed painting; Shirtless men were hanging outside. Resort fee of $24 was only add on charge, definitely not for only resort amenities! After driving around buildings left and immediately cancelled reservation. Don't save 20 some bucks but stay at much better places for a little more,
