Disgusting hotel?

I don't know where to start. This 'hotel' does not look or operate like a hotel. For starters, our room was across the street from the main hotel, so we were segregated from the pool, Cafe, gym, etc. The street off of the hotel is very busy which made entering/exiting the hotel a nightmare. The room were outdated and unkept. There were 2 doors in our room that connected to the room next door to us, there was abut 3-4 inches of space under the door so you can see into your neighbors room slightly and they into yours, which also means you can hear more noises coming from your neighbors room and smell whatever they were doing or cooking. Yes, our neighbors were smoking cigarettes in their room, heavily to the point their smoke alarm kept going off till about 1am. The front desk was nice to let us move rooms due to this. The new room was just as outdated and unkept. The closet door did not stay on the hinges, the same for the slide bathroom door. The air conditioning unit was blowing out black crap that would litter the floors. The maids were cleaning the room next door to us one day and were SO loud. Yelling to eachother, loud music, slamming doors, glass and china clicking loudly. This was a free stay that was gifted to us, I am glad that I did not spend any money on this hotel. I would recommend many other hotels in the Orlando area other than this one, the only positive thing about this hotel is that the staff was nice and moved quickly to change our rooms due to our cigarette smoking neighbors.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I checked in late at night on Jan 20 and was told they don’t have any renovated rooms so I’m like ok that’s fine. Next morning we went to Disney and didn’t explore the room much. Next day we came back and there were bugs crawling on the stove. My son was walking in his socks and they were all dog hair. I went out to the front desk to tell the worker about it. He goes oh I’m sorry but all the rooms are booked and the exterminator doesn’t come in until Tuesday. Like what!?!? What am I supposed to do in the mean time? Im like can you atleast have someone come in and clean the room and mop the floor. He didn’t like the fact that I was telling him what to do. He rolled his eyes and called the housekeeping lady. She went and cleaned the room and we left. We came back at night just to see bugs crawling all over the stove again. Do not stay here. So old and horrible.

Nice Resort

After reading some reviews from unsatisfied people, I was a bit worried about staying at this place. However, both the hubby and I found it to be rather nice. Our room was clean (we didn’t see any bugs as was mentioned in other reviews), the staff was friendly, the grounds were well kept, and the accommodations were great. Our room was located at the end of building L, 2nd floor and overlooked the main pool and hot tub which provided a beautiful view. My only complaint was that the pool didn’t close until 11:00pm. Guests were in the hot tub (late) and you could hear the noise from outside (laughing and talking loudly) really well which made it hard to fall asleep.
