Sahara Beach Aquapark Resort boasts a beautiful beachfront location just 12.5km from the Old Town of Sousse and under 10km from Monastir. When you fancy a quiet swim there’s two outdoor pools, plus an additional indoor option. To get your heartbeat racing there’s an array of waterslides in the aquapark, including some for the kids. While for true adrenaline junkies there’s also scuba diving in the sea. Alternatively, take it easy and relax in an outdoor Jacuzzi® or the indoor hammam (surcharge applies).
The little guests can have fun and games with other children in their age group thanks to the Kids’ Club (ages 4-7), Maxi Club (ages 8-12) and Teeny Club (ages 13-17, July and August only). And for the whole family there’s a range of sports on offer including beach volleyball, mini golf, boccia, basketball, tennis, archery, football and ping pong. In the evening let your hair down at a party with live music or show off your dance moves at the disco.
As part of the All Inclusive service, a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner are included, as well as tasty snacks between meals. You may also choose to experience Tunisian or Italian dining at its best at one of the two a la cartes (surcharge applies). There’s no shortage of places to drink, with eight bars on site. Note that three bars (Bar 51, Disco Bar and Moorish Cafe) are not part of the All Inclusive service, while international brands of alcoholic drinks incur an additional charge.
There’s over 1000 rooms spread over three 7-floor buildings. Air conditioning is available in the summer, while the WiFi is unlimited. Superior rooms are a very generous 37m2 and have the added benefits of a safe, mini fridge, hairdryer and satellite TV channels. For families an interconnecting option is available, suitable for 4-5 guests plus an additional infant.
Tunisia’s Sahel Coast is famous for its imposing palm trees, millennia-old fortresses and long, fine-sand beaches. While staying at Sahara Beach Aquapark Resort a day trip into Monastir should be on your itinerary. Here, you must see the magnificent mausoleum of H. Bourguiba with its imposing golden dome and 25-metre high minarets. Afterwards climb the imposing 8th century ribat (fort) for breathtaking views, before negotiating a bargain at the craft souk. Meanwhile in Sousse there’s a smaller ribat, a 9th century mosque and a few quaint museums. For even more history and culture, organised day trips can be arranged to the Roman amphitheatre at El Jem and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kairouan with its impressive mosques. Both destinations are approx. 1 hour’s drive away, allowing plenty of time for visiting.
