Le Sultan has a quiet setting on Tunisia's Hammamet coastline. You'll be steps away from the hotel's two beaches, where you can swim in the clear waters. The whitewashed hotel overlooks its own pool area and out towards the Gulf of Hammamet. Days can be spent relaxing on the terrace or unwinding in the spa, which has a heated indoor pool. Children can play in the kids' pool. If you prefer to keep active during the day, Le Sultan has tennis courts, table tennis and mini golf. There's a golf course a short drive away, and the hotel puts on a shuttle bus. You can also go horse riding along the beach with horses from the hotel's stables. For children, there's a playground as well as a kids' club where they can get involved with organised activities throughout the day. When it's time to refuel, the hotel has several restaurants and bars, where you can get meals, snacks and local soft and alcoholic drinks from morning until midnight. Food can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace in Le Sultan's a la carte restaurants, where you can choose from seafood or Asian cuisine. If you'd like to try traditional Tunisian dishes, you can head to Hammamet and check out some of its local restaurants.
The hotel has two beaches to choose from, both within 80m, and the centre of Hammamet is 4km away. The old part of Hammamet town is characterised by whitewashed buildings and narrow alleyways. Bustling during the daytime, its streets are filled with spice markets, rug sellers and al fresco eating areas. By the seafront is the town's old fort, the Kasbah, which offers sea views from the top. For a day trip to see more of the country's history, you can head to the Medina of Sousse, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site that offers an insight into 9th-century life. It has ancient streets that are brimming with souks, mosques and cathedrals.
You can have breakfast in the hotel's main restaurant, as well as lunch and dinner buffets, or you can dine in one of the a la carte restaurants once during your stay. There are five bars including the pool bar and an open-air bar open in the evenings.
You can work out in Le Sultan's gym or challenge friends and family to a game of pool. The hotel also offers windsurfing sessions.
The rooms at Le Sultan each have their own balcony or terrace, air conditioning, 24-hour room service and a TV with satellite channels.
The small beach area is accessible only in good weather.

Beautiful hotel, with some totally amazing staff! Let down by the reception/front desk service.
SPECIAL thanks to: - Mourad (Restaurant) A wonderful person, with naturally excellent customer service and a fantastic memory for the hugely important little things! He treated us exceptionally well every single day. - Jamal (Entertainment/Activities) A treasure to the hotel! He goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcomed, and provides the essential information that reception does not give you. - Hichael (Entertainment/Activities) A great asset to the hotel, extremely friendly & helpful. He organised an amazing quad biking trip for us! - ALL cleaning staff: The rooms, bar, garden teams. Thank you all! The Positives: * The photos are accurate and the hotel is lovely. * Perfect location for a peaceful relaxing winter sun get away (we stayed mid-Dec 2022). * Great activities/facilities, which are essential as there is nothing much around the immediate area/in walking distance. - Very good catering with nice variety of traditional & international menu options (we were All-Inclusive) The Negatives: * Reception/front desk service - unless you are checking-in or paying a bill, several of the reception staff were very dismissive/borderline rude and unhelpful. No information about the hotel's facilities/ services were provided at any point during my 10-day stay, and each time we went to ask a simple question i.e. "what time does the spa open, or how much is the horse riding?" we were shockingly told to go find out for ourselves. This is not acceptable, especially considering that staff in the spa & stables really struggled to communicate with non-French/Arabic speaking guests. * The main bar was used for kids activities ALL night. Plus extremely young children/babies (to young to join the older kid's activities on stage) were running around the bar at 11PM+ every night. Hotel management needs to change this immediately/set up a separate indoor area for them. Note that we travelled as a family of 5 (including two children) so we are not anti-kids, but it was just ridiculous! Adults without children, or those who just wanted to be able to lounge, chat and relax after dinner were forced to order drinks and go to back their room, or sit in the uncomfortable lobby/reception area. * The lounge terrace is overrun with smokers all day and night (there are no designated smoking/non-smoking outside area). This does not comply with international hotel standards.
Last week of 2022 with the kids
Easy to reach, 5 min from city center and highway exit to Tunis. The facilities are maintained in a professional manner to keep guests comfortable. Delicious food and friendly staff. My very shy kids refused to leave due to kindness of Tata and Mouna who done all their best to please them and keep them happy. A very interesting destination with the kids. Was told by other guests that the summer period is more interesting with other programs for both kids and adults. Will be happy to experience the Sultan again. Special thanks again to Mouna and Tat for their efforts to keep ours kids (Dalia & Oussaid) happily interested.
