Fabulous views
This lovely budget choice hotel offers a great experience and an opportunity to stay in a very expensive city for not that much. We stayed in a superior room with sea views and I really wasn’t expecting the large space that we had. Amazing room! Although on a boat, there was a proper toilet and a shower (which was a bit cold) and very good heating so, despite the snow, we were very warm and comfortable. The beds are narrow but comfortable enough. Breakfast was 95 sek (around £7:50) and it was basic, consisting of cold meats, cheese, salad and breads, but very tasty and filling. There is a communal kitchen which is clean and well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Recommended.
I do not recommend
I came here to stay for two nights with my friend. When we went to our room, some worker was cleaning the boat with water tube from the outside. Our window was closed, but it leaked little bit from corner. We went to town, and after we got back, we noticed that because of cleaning, the window had leaked more and bed was wet. We change room and next room was okay. There was only one plug (in our first room had two plugs). The boat was swinging little bit, but enough to make me feel dizzy.
Avoid This Place, It's Filthy!
We thought it would be fun to stay in a ship and chose this place as our base in Stockholm. We couldn't have been more wrong! The communal showers/toilets are absolutely filthy and disgusting. It seems that they haven't been cleaned since the ship was commissioned. Swedish health authorities absoluely need to inspect this place ASAP. The staff do not care at all and they don't seem to be hospitable unlike most Swedish people we encountered. The furniture is breaking, the carpet floor is hideous. The only positive thing I can say is that the price is ok for Stockholm standarts and it's 10-15 minutes walking distance to Gamla Stan. Other than that, this place should be burned for decontamination. Stay away from here!
