Festival Village
Festival Village is in the resort of Salou, which is in the Costa Dorada region on Spain's eastern coast. The town of Cap Salou is a short walk away, where you'll find lots of shops, bars and restaurants. You can also enjoy drinks in the hotel's three bars, with a buffet restaurant open at each mealtime as well. The beach at Cap Salou is within walking distance. There's lots to do at the hotel, including aqua aerobics, basketball and football, while the hotel-run kids' club offers daily entertainment such as games, sports, face painting and a disco. Outside, there's a sun terrace and two swimming pools suitable for both adults and children. Cap Salou is famous for its choice of beaches and traditional Catalonian culture. You can relax with some tapas along the seafront boardwalk, or head into the Old Town to explore the markets, where you'll find handcrafted jewellery and local foods. Slightly further afield is Cambrils, an old fishing village which is home to beaches and ancient architecture, including the fortress of the Baron of Vilafortuny which overlooks the town. In between the two towns are a couple of popular theme parks and amusements suitable for all ages.
Both the resort centre and the beach are 700m from the hotel. The nearest major city is Reus, which is 19km away. This is the birthplace of the architect GaudÌ, and you can see many of his works here. Reus is also famous for its wine, and you can try the local produce at a number of restaurants and tapas bars in the city. Day trippers can take public transport to Barcelona, Spain's 'second city'. Here you can relax on miles of sandy beach, head to the La Rambla shopping district and take a tour of the Nou Camp, one of the most famous football stadiums in the world.
The hotel has three bars, including a pool bar and a main bar that stays open until late. The buffet restaurant opens its doors for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and hosts a range of theme nights. Outdoor seating is available for those who wish to dine alfresco.
The hotel has a dartboard, and hosts a programme of entertainment seven days per week. This typically includes live shows and quizzes.
The rooms at Festival Village have Wi-Fi, a TV and air conditioning, as well as kitchen equipment including a hob, a fridge and a dining area.

Friendly staff, basic hotel (at best)
Nice size family room (4 kids ranging from 6 to 15) Very nice staff, particularly Richard, Jose and Alain. Food got better was week went on. Basic pool, not enough loungers, entertainment very "samey"
We had such high hopes…
With this hotel rated 4 stars on TripAdvisor, we were expecting good things. Check in was good, the lady who served us was knowledgeable and friendly. We then were then shown to our two bedroom apartment. It was relatively clean but in need of much updating. This was ok by us. We then went for lunch. We were excited to try some real Spanish fare, but no, chicken nuggets and insipid salads were the order of the day. Such a shame. We spoke to a Tui rep about being moved to a different hotel, and she suggested reporting it via the app, which we did, but we didn’t get a response… There were nowhere near enough loungers round the pool, with most covered in towels but no sunbathers. We then decided that if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em and decided to enjoy the all inclusive alcohol We spent £3100 for the five of us, and were bitterly disappointed. We decided to make the most of it and enjoy the beautiful weather but we definitely won’t return.

We thoroughly enjoyed this holiday as a family. Apartments were very spacious, very clean, lots of storage for clothing. We really enjoyed the food, there were something for everyone. The entertainment was very enjoyable, Paige was fab at making sure everyone enjoyed their holiday. The pool area was lovely and clean with life guards present. The staff were extremely friendly and went the extra Mile, they were so helpful and couldn’t help enough when we needed taxis ordering etc. The only negative I have is that some adults were smoking cigarettes around the pool area (which is banned) and would stub their cigarettes and flick them under the sun beds. This was never picked up on by staff and we are a non smoking family with children, therefor could not relax and had to move several times. Overall a very pleasant stay and we would return.
