MS Amaragua Hotel is a family-friendly hotel that sits right on La Carihuela Beach, close to the old fishing village of La Carihuela and the town's beach promenade. MS Amaragua Hotel looks out towards the Mediterranean Sea in the port city of Malaga, Costa del Sol in Spain. Costa del Sol is known as the 'Sunshine Coast' and is a popular destination because of its sandy beaches and warm weather. At MS Amaragua Hotel, the interiors are typically Mediterranean, with whitewashed walls and classical-inspired architectural features. The hotel has three pools, one outdoors overlooking the beach, another indoors and one for children. The hotel is surrounded by gardens and there's a sun terrace to relax on. The hotel has a main buffet restaurant, an a la carte restaurant and a pool bar and a lobby bar. The restaurants all have indoor and outdoor seating options, where you can enjoy your food and drink. The hotel staff provide entertainment, and there's a gym on site, so you can keep up with your fitness routine. For some relaxing downtime, there's a spa with a sauna and a Turkish bath. If you want to explore the local area, you can take a short stroll to Benalmadena's famous marina, Puerto Marina. There, you can find shops and restaurants.

La Carihuela Beach is 50m from the hotel. Along the back of the beach is a long promenade lined with bars and restaurants. A short 200m walk takes you to the centre of La Carihuela, with its local restaurants serving fresh seafood, Spanish specialities and international cuisine. The Mediterranean resort town of Torremolinos is also within walking distance, 2km away, and is well-known for its food, shopping and nightlife. The area is popular for its bars, but there are also quieter, more traditional towns to visit such as El Calvario. Here, you'll also find sandy beaches such as El Bajondillo and La Carihuela, several golf courses and amusement parks.

Amaragua's buffet restaurant offers breakfast and dinner. The hotel also has an a la carte restaurant, which opens for lunch and dinner. Both provide local and international food. There's a pool bar where you can get light snacks and drinks during the day and an indoor bar.

The hotel has a shallower pool for kids. You can enjoy the on-site spa and gym, and entertainment is put on by the hotel.

Amaragua's rooms each have a balcony to enjoy the views. There's Wi-Fi available in all rooms and a TV with satellite channels.

Good hotel

Apr 2022 | LoveIsLove1

Nice hotel in a great location We arrived in the middle of a 2 week Irish festival Over 250 65plus They was at it morning noon & night! Music dancing inside outside! Basically took over the hotel! They had free reign of everything They seemed to be having a good time Myself & wife spent most our time out the hotel due to this! We had a great time Breakfast was good & plenty full Love the choice of breads!! Yum! Room was facing the mountains & was a lovely view, room cleaned every day! 10 min walk to the marina Would stay again but not while another festival was going on! Wish we had been told prior

Jet2 Change of Hotel

Apr 2022 | Linda L

We were due to stay in a different hotel but Jet2 informed us they had to change us due to the current situation. The MS Amaragua was offered to us or a refund (not an option :) ) The hotel is a large hotel and we were concerned that we would be queuing for lifts and breakfast, not a chance ! As it was Easter and it was busy they extended breakfast times to enable all holiday makers a chance to eat, the lifts were never an issue. My only issue was the sunbeds, people reserve them and then don't use them until mid afternoon. I appreciate this is a problem in most hotels abroad. The hotel is right on the front with gated access which is good if getting in late, I would recommend this place, very central to everything.
