Sleep Quality

Clean, friendly and great value for money

May 2022 | Calwa

Very friendly staff make you feel welcome from the moment you check in. 5 minutes to the beach and lots of nice bars 10 mins walk away The all inclusive food was ok, quite good if you think about the cheap price. Lots of options, sometimes a little bland but you can’t complain for the price. Only thing I would like to have seen was better labelling of meals; it would have been hard for those with dietary requirements. Good bar service, would have liked it to have been open a little later than 2300 but always drinks fountain available if you want to pop to the shop to get a bottle for those late night drinks. Some families but not busy with loud children and some older visitors but still put on a good entertainment package for all. Pool/ games room was a nice to have but was disappointed this closes quite early. The room was immaculate and very modern. I was expecting something more drab for the money but it was very modern, nice touches like plenty of toiletries, mini fridge with water and tea/coffee facilities. Housekeeping staff did a great job and we’re very helpful- eg offering towels and loo roll even though said we didn’t need a full clean. Only complaint about the room would be the mattress- too firm for me, but that may be a personal preference thing. Late checkout fee of €50 also a bit of a negative. Great hotel, would deffo consider coming back if visiting Torremolinos.

Beware of pool 'Security Guard '

May 2022 | N3062HHaudreyd

Just back ftom a 5 day trip with friends abd returned as we had a nice break here in 2019. Things have def changed and the website doesn't reflect a true picture. We asked on checking in about roof top garden and gym to be told both were closed !! No apology given which was disappointing. Rooms are nice and food acceptable and usual standard for all inclusive in Spain in my opinion. Bar in hotel closes very early at 11pm and would be good if open till midnight.. Biggest issue with this hotel is pool security guard as we called him, he is a disgrace and let's this hotel down. I am 52 year's old and have never seen anything like it, he was a constant Mr angry pouncing on people if they dared make a wrong move or try and enter the pool via the wrong opening in the ridiculous barrier they have around the pool !! As for a pool area not opening till 10am that's not on, if you're unwilling to pay lifeguards for more hour's then cordon off the actual pool itself and allow people to lie on sunbeds to enjoy early morning sun. The mad dash for beds at 10am is a joke surely if open earlier people would arrive gradually. This particular member of staff with black t shirt and mask really needs training in customer service and like previous comments I don't think the hotel goes out of its way for British guests. I tripped several times on the many steps in the hotel and on one occasion at the reception he saw me trip and instead of asking if I was ok he gestured at us to be quiet!! Atmosphere was very hostile when he was around and hotel management should ve aware.

Mixed feelings

The rooms are beautiful the only things that let the room down was the smell of damp after a shower and the balcony didn’t feel to safe I wouldn’t have liked to have children up there. The reception is really nice. The food in the restaurant was nice how ever could be very bland at times. The Indian food was certainly not Indian. The bar was ok but again the drinks where very limited. The paid for drinks are also very limited most 4* hotels I’ve stayed at normally have a great paid for drinks/cocktails. We drank out most times or purchased drinks from the local shop. The pool in my opinion opens very late and shuts really early. It doesn’t open till around 10:30am ish if I remember right and shuts at 19:00 which is ok but they will literally tell you to leave pool side when the suns still scorching hot. The staff are pretty strict and took quite a bit of abuse from larger louts. In particular the life guard got so much stick for doing their job. The entertainments team where fantastic in the day. Antonio was brill at getting people involved with activities in the day time. Night time entertainment was ok but nothing to shout home about. Quite often we went out at night. Would I stay here again. I’m not too sure. The room was great but that’s about as far as it goes.
