Myramar Fuengirola is located just 23 minutes from Malaga airport and within easy reach of soft sandy beaches and fantastic amusement parks. This makes it an excellent choice for an action-packed family holiday. Walk just 15 minutes to build sandcastles on Playa de Santa Amalia, an unspoilt paradise boasting calm, clear waters. Seeking thrills and spills? Make your way to AquaMijas (1.3km). It’s packed with a maze of attractions for all ages. Or if it’s wildlife you’re after, spot lemurs, chimpanzees and pink flamingos at the nearby Bioparc (0.9km).
There’s no shortage of things to do at the hotel either, with its mini golf course, tennis courts, aqua fitness, aerobics classes, gym, daily entertainment (15 June to 15 Sept), and occasional evening shows. Little ones will delight in fun and games at the kid’s club (4-12 yrs), with its arts and crafts, team sports, drama, music, games consoles and the children’s play area.
When it’s time to chill, set up camp by one of the two outdoor swimming pools. On one side, you’ve got shallow waters for your mini travellers, while the main pool is decked out with parasols, sunloungers and a bar serving burgers, salads, sandwiches, ice creams and drinks. Want to take that relaxation up a notch? Head to the spa, a peaceful retreat with a sauna, hot tub, and menu of relaxing massage treatments.
Feeling peckish? The hotel’s main restaurant serves up delicious Andalusian buffets for breakfast and dinner, along with around-the-world flavours on its themed nights. Tuck into hearty Italian pasta dishes, Indian curries, fresh Asian plates and spicy Mexican cuisine. Book yourself into Olea a la carte dining for a taste of traditional regional cuisine. And if you’re craving the comforts of your homemade favourites, you can do so in your apartment kitchenette.
Renovated in 2019, each one-bed apartment in the hotel has a fresh and modern home-from-home feel. Occupying up to four guests, you’ll find a well-appointed twin room and spacious lounge area with two sofa beds and satellite television. You also have a well-equipped kitchenette, giving you all the freedom of Self Catering, along with a separate bathroom and centrally-controlled air-conditioning to keep you cool.
When you’re ready to explore your surroundings, Myramar is only a 15-minute walk from Fuengirola town. One of the most popular spots in Costa del Sol, you’ll find a bustling promenade, an attractive marina and plenty of shops. While the town’s history dates back to Phoenician times, its Arabic past is most evident. The Sohail Castle, built in AD 956, sits high on an isolated hill, offering fabulous views over the coast and Sierra de Mijas mountains. Today the fortress welcomes visitors from 10am to 2pm Tuesday to Sunday, with events often held within its walls.
For more Andalusian culture, head to Malaga, just 35 minutes away by car or taxi. One of the oldest cities in Europe, its streets are brimming with art galleries, trendy boutiques, and roman ruins. Don’t miss a trip to the stone citadel in the city centre, dating back to 1 BCE, where you’ll catch public performances from local poets. And if you want to eat like the locals, be sure to order some pescaíto frito (fried fish and lemon) from the incredible dining spots along the tree-lined Malaga Park.

A really enjoyable place to stay.
One of the best hotel apartments we have ever been to. Well looked after, in great condition. The grounds are tidy and full of sun most of the day. Plenty of sun loungers and a nice restaurant/bar/café by the pool. The staff are excellent. Personable, helpful and friendly to the Nth degree. The cleaners are there every day and do exactly what you want done. The hotel position is quiet and within a fifteen minute stroll to the seafront. The big Miramar shopping centre is just over the road too.
Winter break
Spent a week here half board towards the end of January. We had a one bedroomed apartment. We chose half board as the price difference between self catering and half board was very reasonable and would still leave us with a budget to eat out two or three nights if we wished. The apartment A nice size with a separate bedroom, an entrance way, sitting room area with two sofas and a nest of three tables, a dining table with four chairs and a small kitchen area. Kettle, toaster, hob, fridge, microwave. There was a dustpan brush and mop and bucket in the kitchen which was very useful for any spills. The bedroom and sitting area had access the the balcony which had a table and four chairs and a full sized drying rack which was great for drying swimwear and towels. Room was swept and beds made everyday and surfaces wiped down. Very clean room. Bathroom had a bath with shower over as well as a separate shower. Plenty of hot water and water pressure was very good. Beds were a little hard. We would have liked the option of mattress toppers. They weren't as bad as some hotel beds we have encountered previously and we slept ok. Hotel and location The hotel itself was very nice. It may have been built a while ago but fixtures and fittings are very good quality and classic. Outdoor pool was closed but there was a good indoor pool that we used a couple of time. A swim cap is mandatory and can be bought there for €4 if you don't have one. The hotel is a little way from the centre. However the L1 bus goes from outside the hotel every 15 mins and is currently free to use. Across from the hotel is a big shopping centre which includes a big supermarket and if you cross the little footbridge to the right of the hotel Lidl is a five min walk away. Restaurant This was very quiet at breakfast and evening meal. I think the majority of people go self catering at this hotel. There was lots of choice and the food was tasty. However due to the slow turn around food was sat a while under heat lamps and was a little dried up and cool. There was a microwave to warm it up if required. The staff were very helpful and drinks were a reasonable price. €2for a soft drink. €3 for a large wine. We would happily go back to this hotel again. It was very good value for money.
A very nice hotel
We had a spacious apartment with a well equpped kitchen, a good twin bedroom, a sittingroom with two daybeds and and extra small bed in the corridor. The bathroom both had a shower and a tub, and there was a nice big terrasse with a small table, chairs and drying rack. There was free access to a heated pool and a wellness area with spa, sauna and fitness room where an extra fee was demanded. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the food was good and plentiful. It is not in the city center, but the local bus will take you there, and there are several shopping centers in the area
