Steps from the beach, Iberostar Royal Andalus is a family-friendly hotel in the resort town of Novo Sancti Petri on the south coast of mainland Spain. A short drive away is Sancti Petri, where you can watch flamenco dancers at a traditional Spanish bar or hunt for souvenirs in the shops. You could also explore the adjoining abandoned village, which sits on a piece of land between the ocean and estuary. Further afield, you could take a day trip to C·diz, which is thought to be the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in Europe. You can wander the maze-like streets lined with seafood restaurants, whitewashed buildings and old stone monuments. You could also walk along the waterfront or take a dip in the sea.
