Nice stay
Very good location, near the beach. Nice apartment, clean. Unfortunately no oven in the kitchen,Reception personal are nice but they don’t speak English very well. The bar and breakfast is closed, lets hope they open soon The wifi is unfortunately not working, every now and then it stops. I really hope that they are going to do something about it. It is very disturbing espy if you stay for a longer time, witch we did. Fix the wifi snd we will be back
Nice apartment for long stay golf
Has everything you need in a beautiful setting near the beach, restaurants, etc. Modern and well built, garage in the basement, lifts. 24 hour service, if needed, breakfast and meeting room. If you like the sun entering your apartment you should ask for that since not all apartments have direct sunshine.
More style than substance
We had high hopes for this hotel after reading other people's reviews. However we were left disappointed from the start. We requested a quiet room and/or a pool view. We got neither of these. The view was of a side road, overlooking the entrance ramp to the car park. The balcony was more like an alleyway and was neither practical nor a nice place to sit outside and relax. It definitely felt like the room was squeezed in and the layout was poorly considered. The room itself was finished nicely, although the metal roller shutters over the balcony doors seemed a strange design choice. Not only this, but the shutters to all of the rooms are clearly fixed directly into the building structure, as noise from other guests opening and closing their shutters was loud and audible every time they were used. This happened late at night and early in the morning and disrupted our sleep EVERY night. The shutters were not the only noise disturbance. For some reason our room shared a tiny entrance lobby with another, and the proximity of the two doors plus the enclosed nature of the lobby meant that not only were we were disturbed by our neighbours coming in and out late at night and early in the morning, but sound travelled more easily from room to room via the doors and conversation from their room was at times clearly audible. We also clearly heard noise from their bathroom regularly including the toilet flushing and shower running. The area around the hotel was like a ghost town while we were there, and we managed to work out that it was due to lots of local business owners going on holiday after the peak season. This is not the hotel's responsibility of course. However, the hotel itself seemed to be short on staff, meaning the pool bar was unmanned for the duration of our stay and other facilities such as the hot tub were not available for use. We did not have breakfast included in our stay but the morning after our first night we decided to pay and have breakfast in the hotel. We went to what we assumed was the restaurant/breakfast bar next to the reception and after waiting 15 minutes to be served (due to both being manned by the same person who was doing her best to be fair to her) we ordered 2 x scrambled eggs and 2 fresh orange juice. 12 Euros for this seemed expensive, but based on the reviews we expected a high standard. We were advised that our food would be a while as another member of staff was 'helping serve breakfast upstairs'. We weren't sure what this meant at this point, but later that day managed to work out that a full breakfast service is served in an upstairs restaurant, which we were not informed of when we checked in or when we ordered breakfast that morning. When our food was ready it was left on the bar for us to go and collect. There was no service at all, we even had to find our own cutlery by looking around in various drawers. For 12 Euros we received two small plates of microwaved, bland scrambled eggs and two admittedly nice glasses of fresh orange juice. There were many other little things that were lacking, including the mini bar not being stocked and for a hotel that claims it is all about the guest experience it was all a bit disappointing. On the positive side, the hotel is very clean and Playa Barossa beach is very close and absolutely beautiful. We titled the review 'more style than substance' and that is very much how the experience felt to us. Lots of effort had gone in to the design and presentation of the hotel, but the overall guest experience felt underwhelming. If as much thought had gone into the little details as the 'style' it would be much improved. We travelled all over Andalucia during our 15 day trip and this was by far the most expensive and yet disappointing place we stayed. It may be that we were unlucky, and the experience in the more expensive apartments is a better one, based on the previous reviews. We were disappointed, and although we rated our stay at 3/5 we would have made it 2.5/5 if we could (but 2 would be harsh).
