Don't be fooled by 4 stars

First impressions a clean hotel and food ok but look deeper and this is certainly not a 4 star hotel. Rooms are tiny and if your unlucky to be at the front, god help you with the noise from the smoking area. The food was good , plenty of it but very repetitive and no tea or coffee available after lunch or dinner. A guy comes around with a drinks trolley during service ! The outdoor area really needs a clean up , around the pool and indoor pool. Thank god for the indoor pool, but whole area messy. Staff not very friendly at all but housekeeping do a great job. Entertainment was OK but the room is between reception and the bedrooms and play area so just madness at night. No quiet peaceful areas at all to really relax. The surrounding town is beautiful, it's the only reason I would return.

4 star hotel!? Only if you’re blind

Old rooms, dirty marks on the walls, over used towels, tired curtains and bed coverings, no ventilation in the bathroom, squeaky doors and I can write a lot…waste of time and moneys! If that is a 4* hotel then I am the queen of England! I would downgrade it to 2 and still won’t reflect the reality! The hotel itself is a mess needed to be sorted out

Wouldn't recommend for young families

Where to start, transfer dropped off in the street to find the hotel as no coaches reach the hotel although only 5min walk, you can't actually see the hotel so have to ask in other hotels for directions. Reception friendly and helpful 1 lady speaks very good English. Arrived at the room, which was so basic no storage, no sides needs a good paint. Very small. There was 1 adult with 3 children. The spare chair bed was covered in dust and was unclean so was unused. The room was cleaned daily which was good as it needed it as just unclean. Was placed in a room with just a shower with a 1 Yr old a 2 Yr old and an 8 Yr old so not ideal. Also placed in a room above the main reception so early 3am arrivals or drunks making lots of noise along with entertainment music all night. Everything was lifts here lifts there.. some times we had to wait for 7 lifts as always filled up. If u have a pram you then have to pay extra for a key for a lift to get to the resurant. You have to get a lift to the pools. All inclusive in the resurant is just 1 bottle of drink which u have to chase the guy with the trolley. If you go half board you have to pay for all drinks and still have to chase them. The food was OK most nights, some was a tad dodgy. But we gave up and ate out most nights because of the lift situation. The pools are great but freezing so my lil ones wouldn't go near. The indoor pool is OK a bit grubby needs painting and updating. Again the water is cold and they leave the doors open so it's not as nice as could be. There is a sauna bit for adults only that is heated but we couldn't use. The kids entertainment at night the first 4 nights was the same so got a bit boring. The hotel itself is great location 5 min walk from town and the beach although again if u have a pram it's stairs down to the beach. There's a castle again stairs so can't go to . And the other end of the beach is stairs. 7 days was prob too much as its very much same same. There is a resurant as u go to the beach that is amazing and you get a voucher for 10% off it was amazing Personally I wouldn't go bk even if the kids were older the pool the slides are great but everything else really let's it down. Such a shame but live and learn.
