Beautiful Setting!

Just back from a lovely stay at Hotel Roger de Flor. The view from the pool is stunning. There was a great selection of food meal times. My children enjoyed the entertainment at night, epecially the DJ who played whatever songs they requested. Katya on reception was particularly helpful and wonderful to deal with. She spent a lot of time checking bus timetables etc for us, ensuring our trips ran smoothly. She sent us off with a large picnic as we had a very early flight to catch home. The rooms were cleaned daily, fresh towels etc. The beach is a few minutes walks down the steps at the front of the hotel. We had a great time and will definitely return.

It’s a long way to the top

A hotel with a lot of character, pity the same can’t be said for some of the staff, who were unfriendly, apathetic and rude. To be fair, Katya at reception was very helpful, and Fernando the manager was approachable. A lovely old building, but rooms are in need of renovation, can be noisy at night due to no soft closing doors , and also cupboard doors inside rooms slamming shut.If you haven’t got wheels - you should think twice about this hotel, unless you like mountain climbing every day. Hotel is situated top of the town , with good views of the sea from public areas, and some rooms . A 10/15 minute walk TO the beach and shops, but coming back is a different story, and an unpleasant uphill slog. Double bed is 2 single beds pushed together, unsecured, so they can come apart during the night if you move too much - very romantic. Lacks basics in the room , e.g. no tea/coffee making facilities , no drinking water provided. Wi-Fi a bit dodgy in our room.

great hotel loved the way it is laid out old fashioned but loved it staff very friendly and helpful food good but could be a bit warmer rooms cleaned everyday sunbeds could do with some TLC but overall a very nice hotel will be returning next year
