Port Vista Oro
783 reviews
Port Vista Oro (ex Ona Sol Vista Oro) is in the Old Town district in Spain's popular Benidorm. The hotel has a swimming pool with an integrated kids' section surrounded by sun terraces, and it's just a short stroll to Levante beach and the promenade. There's a tennis court or you can work out in the gym or join in with an aerobics class. The hotel can organise water activities for you, including sailing. The hotel has two restaurants and three bars, and hosts family-friendly entertainment, such as live music. Benidorm's Old Town is more traditional than its better known New Town. The old quarter has narrow little streets with typically Spanish whitewashed buildings. You can eat the local cuisine in the famous Tapas Alley, and shop for crafts and souvenirs at the shops and market stalls. For bars, nightlife and more restaurants, the New Town is a short walk from the hotel. Centro de Marina shopping mall is also within walking distance. Benidorm has two other sandy beaches as well as Levante beach. If you want to explore further along the coast, you can arrange a hire car through the hotel. If you want to use public transport, there's a bus stop a short walk away.
Levante beach is 300m from the hotel. It's a long sandy beach edged by a popular promenade lined with bars and cafÈs. You can take a boat trip from the harbour to Benidorm Rock, the distinctive islet that dominates the bay, where there is a single restaurant and places to swim or picnic. There's a choice of seaside resorts along the Costa Blanca, including the traditional town of Calpe, which is 24km from Benidorm. It has an old town centre and a modern marina, and a choice of places to eat and drink.
There is one restaurant at Vista Oro, providing international cuisine and Mediterranean food. It's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel has a snack bar and two further bars. Snacks are available between meals, including ice cream, pizza and sandwiches. There's a supermarket 50m from the hotel.
The hotel has an outdoor playground for kids, and there's also table tennis, darts and pool. You can also join in with a game of basketball.
Each room has a balcony or terrace. There's a minibar, Wi-Fi and satellite TV. The rooms have air conditioning or central heating, depending on the season.

Basic tacky hotel for low end clients
It is pretty much a two star hotel geared to low end tourists who want to eat giant portions of food at the hotel buffett restaurant. Coffee is instant only, salad is from cans, doors to the rooms seem made out of paper (really can here everything) kids run around screaming everywhere, and there is tacky nightclub inside the lobby that plays loud music everyday until mignight (so forget sleeping before it ends). I see no reason at all to stay here and you would do yourself a favor looking elsewhere. Trust me on this!
Great hotel
We arrived late at midnight ans they kept some food for us from earlier in the day. They opened dining hall and prepared all so we could have a free meal. It was a great unexpected touch they didn't have to do. Air con is amazing here and a life saver. Supermarket oppoiste and tapas alley and beach is 5 min walk. We were full board and meals were varied. They do continental and English breakfast. The main meals are everything from burgers to chops to fish and paella. The bar and pool area is great and the drinks are cheep by pool. Plenty of sunbeds. All in all a great experience. Thank you.
Good
We came as a family occupying multiple rooms. Rooms ok for 2 people but a bit small for 2 adults and a child! We had a pool view room and the balcony got the sun until late afternoon. As did the pool! Food was ok, mainly catered to the Spanish but there’s always salad and chips if you really can’t find anything you like. The staff were all lovely. Only thing that let it down was there was a huge Spanish group that caused chaos (huge fight at one point) and they would sit by the pool (outside our balcony) drinking and making noise and with the kids screaming and playing and running riot until approx 3:30am every night keeping everyone awake! They’d then run up and down hall ways screaming and shouting and banging on doors early hours and no one stopped them! They’d then turn on the music and shout and scream At each other ! We had spoken to staff about this but they only really settled after the huge fight when the police came. Good things about the hotel are staff can’t do enough to help there are amazing and the aircon is perfect temp and free in rooms. Great location in old town and 7e taxi to new town. I would stay here again as it’s not the hotels fault the last guests were selfish and rude.
