La Era Park we stayed from the 28th May to 4th of June, we arrived Saturday after noon and were greeted by Angela on reception who was absolutely lovely, she offered us a hair dryer and said if it was too hot just to come down and get a fan of her, also Catrina and I think Carole were also lovely. The room 501 was lovely sea view huge balcony, spotlessly clean, beds were super comfy, and utensils 2 ring hob fridge more than adequate, Bar Staff Nicholas (Cage) and Adrian (Mole) were so lovely and cheery and also rushed off there feet. Great Location , out of the hotel and to the right was Jack & Coke which was lovely for food, to the left 3 streets down to the main drag and beach front. I will for sure visit this hotel again and the wonderful staff who work so hard and are so pleasant. The Hotel does have stags and hens which tend to be on the lower floors, I must say I heard nothing at night from the hotel very quiet.

This was only one of two hotels in Benidorm that would take our group of 20 for a stag-do, so we didn't have high expectations. We were on a package holiday through Jet2, meaning we got the flights, hotel, transfers all included. The flights and coach transfer were on-time, meaning the hotel surely knew what time we were arriving? However, when we got to the hotel, ready to put the bags in our rooms and head straight out, the rooms were not ready. If I had booked the flights, transfers and hotels all separately, then fair enough, but as a package holiday, the hotel should surely have the rooms ready for our arrival as they know exactly when we're turning up. Rooms were very basic, although I will say the shower was amazing. Two small single beds, a single bed that pulls out from under the sofa and then the sofa is the last bed. On the pictures it looks like two double beds, do not be fooled by this. The blankets were like curtains, very uncomfortable and offering no protection from the cold. The balcony was very large and had a table with 4 chairs, no problems there. The hotel staff were all friendly, especially the lad behind the bar. The pool looked quite nice from afar, however up close, there was lots of rubbish and debris in the bottom, this remained unchanged for the whole four days so nobody went in the pool and they clearly do not clean it regularly. Few different games next to the pool such as a pool table, boxing machine and table football, all as you'd expect, would be useful if the pool cue's had some tips on them, but that's obviously a minor thing. What I'd say is the most annoying thing about the hotel is that you pay the refundable deposits for your rooms (100 euros) in euros and not your base currency. This means you have to pay with the money you took to spend, then you only get it back as you leave, meaning you're stuck with the money unless you are going to spend it in the airport. It would be much more convenient if you could pay the deposit in your base currency, such as sterling. Overall I would stay here again if we travelled as a group, as for the price and the little amount of time we spent there, it wasn't too bad. I would only advise staying here if you are a large group, if you have less than 16 people there will absolutely be better hotels/apartments.
