An impressive monumental building that is full of special details located opposite Amsterdam's Artis Zoo a green part of central Amsterdam, where the hotspots just keep popping up. Countless shops, delightful restaurants, vibrant pubs and clubs are just a few minutes away, along with local public transport networks and the Schiphol International Airport is approximately 30 km away. Two famous quarters, the Rembrandt and Waterloo districts, are only a short distance from the hotel. In restaurant, breakfast buffet with cold and hot dishes is served each day. All rooms are equipped with comfortable beds with wonderful furniture of excellent quality, everything needed to completely relax during a weekend break.

Nice hotel in a pleasant area

Great hotel! Very friendly staff and a nice room that was cleaned every day. The temperature in the room, however was a little too warm for our liking. Great breakfast and a huge plus that it was served until 11. Not a lot of gluten free options though. Nice location and very easy to use the tram to get to the center. Overall we definitely enjoyed our stay.

Let’s talk firstly about the hotel… Staff is very friendly , Lancaster hotel is near the center (about 8 minutes with tram / station is almost across the hotel) and the zoo is … 1 minute walking ! Room is very good so the breakfast which is served in a great place ( like a cool restaurant) on the ground floor. Since you are in Amsterdam don’t hesitate to book here

Excellent selection of breakfasts, great location very near to 14 tram. Only issue we had was noise from TV in next room as they are on a bracket attached to the wall right against the bed. Made it known to management who did have a word with the guest in the adjacent room to us.
