So outstanding! The Doelen, the oldest hotel in Amsterdam, is a gem and jewel-box - tiny, sterling service, outstanding in every way. We stayed here on the final leg of a two week+ exploration of the Netherlands/Benelux area and our stay left us with wonderful memories of a lovely region. Rooms are spacious with outstanding canal views, service at both breakfast and at every instance was thoughtful and polite. If you have time, do arrange their private canal tour with a very knowledgeable captain to take you to unseen places. A joy!

Very Nice Hotel in Great Location

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights over Valentine’s Day. The hotel is beautiful and the every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and professional. We stayed in a superior room which was quite small but had everything we needed. Our reservation also included daily breakfast which consisted of a buffet as well as made to order options and was very good. The best thing about this hotel, other than the amazing staff, is the location. We were able to walk just about anywhere in 20mins or less. We very much enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in Amsterdam.

Strong five stars! Centrally located. Clean modern rooms. Views of the canal. Most important is staff. John at front desk went the extra mile to move my room to canal view and was so very helpful In restaurant recommendations and sight seeing. Trip was so enhanced with his help.Sander took us to the hidden historic wall which is part of the hotel. Breakfast buffet was abundant, fresh and varied. Staff attentive there as well.
