Strategically located in the West-Ring between Amsterdam bustling city centre, the Zuidas and the dynamic Schiphol Airport, the Artemis is more than a 4* deluxe, it stands with its own contemporary modern design. From the lobby to the rooms, Dutch design is evident in all shapes and forms. Guests will find the works of contemporary designers such as Marcel Wanders, Piet Hein Eek and Richard Hutten. The central meeting point of the hotel is the Restaurant-Bar 'De Stijl' with its waterside terrace where guests can enjoy a drink, a lunch or even dinner and during the summer months, the waterside terrace is just perfect to unwind. All the 256 designed rooms are cosy and comfortable with all the modern facilities including full air-conditioning, mini-bar, tea & coffee facilities, safe, free wireless internet, cable TV, phone, hair dryer and trouser press.(Guests booking a double room should note that the room consists of a twin bedded room).

Pleasant Hotel

Room was spacious. The menu was quite expensive but tasty. All staff were incredibly helpful. Just outside is a ‘Spar’ store which sells delicious toasties and general groceries etc. Central is roughly a 10 minute Uber drive away. The restaurant is a romantic and very quiet setting.

Don’t go with high expectations…

The hotel itself is modern and nice place to say. The review about cleanliness are correct, although our bed sheets were clean (that is the most important thing for me) the floor had sticky marks, the bathroom frosted panelled door had what looked like soapy splashes up them, titles around the sink and mirror etc, pretty much looks like the only thing cleaned in the room was the bedsheets. The hotel lobby was always immaculate, shame the same can’t be said about the rooms. The hotel isn’t close to the centre, trams/bus/metro and 10/15minutes walk is necessary, so I would only recommend this hotel&area if you’re confident with using your mobile navigation and underground’s etc. The hotel lobby has a fridge and a shelf full of snacks available to buy from 24hours a day, which came in handy for us, along with the spar just opposite the hotel (not 24hrs). The entrance to the hotel is closed off on a night time, there is a card swipe beside the side door, this was never communicated with us and on our first night returning to the hotel the reception night staff over looked us confused to get in, until we figured it out ourselves.

A quick trip to, this refreshing space was amazing with service and smiles which is always welcoming. Checking in was a delight with Senne, very approachable and super helpful. Connecting to the city was a 20 min tram ride away, easily accessible Surrounded by a local park/ nature reserve, and nestles between a local neighbourhood, it offers a tranquil place away from the noise of central Amsterdam
