2679 reviews
IBEROSTAR Club Palmeraie Hotel is a luxury hotel in the countryside outside Marrakech, in the heart of Morocco. It's within driving distance of the historic Medina, where you can explore the resort's maze-like souks, which are lined with stalls selling local goods and souvenirs. You could also visit a rooftop cafe, where you'll have views across the alleys, public squares and stalls. You'll be a short drive from Marrakech's New Town, with its contemporary shopping centres, restaurants and supermarkets, along with its bars and nightclubs. The hotel has two outdoor swimming pools, plus a smaller pool for children. You'll find two restaurants at the hotel, offering a selection of local and international cuisine. Renovated in 2017, the low-rise buildings are painted in warm tones, including shades of terracotta and red. You'll find typically Moroccan arched doorways and windows at the hotel, along with ornate balcony railings and the occasional tiled wall. You can explore the hotel's flat gardens, which are filled with palm trees and brightly coloured plants. At IBEROSTAR Club Palmeraie Hotel, you can visit the spa, which is decorated in the style of a traditional Moroccan hammam. You'll be able to choose from a variety of beauty and wellness treatments. You can also watch the evening entertainment, with a drink from one of the four bars. If you fancy eating out with the locals, you could venture out to Jemaa el-Fna square after dark, where you'll find rows of street stalls, serving traditional Moroccan cuisine, including grilled meats, lamb kebabs and vegetable tagines.
Iberostar Club Palmeraie Marrakech is 15km from Jemaa el-Fna square, where you'll find daytime stalls selling freshly squeezed orange juice, along with locally produced goods, such as hand-woven hats and bags. You'll be able to shop in the adjoining souks, which sell a variety of goods, including Moroccan lanterns, leather and fragrant spices. It's 9km to Bab Doukkala, which is known for its local produce market. You can grab lunch at a street stall and explore the ruins of the old city gates. The hotel is 8.8km from the Majorelle Gardens, where you can wander along the shaded paths, next to fountains, trees and flowers. You could dine on local cuisine at the cafÈ and look for souvenirs at the gift shop. You'll also be 12km from Marrakech's New Town, with its places to eat, drink and shop.
At Iberostar Club Palmeraie Marrakech, you can visit the international buffet restaurant or the Moroccan a la carte restaurant, which serves a twice-weekly set menu, including local cuisine like seafood and beef tagine. If you're feeling thirsty, you can order a selection of local drinks at the hotel's three bars.
Iberostar Club Palmeraie Marrakech runs a daily kids' club for children aged 4-12 and a Teen Club aged 13-17. You could also explore the local area, with its mountains and desert terrain.
The air-conditioned rooms are decorated in warm tones, with pale walls and matching floor tiles, along with Moroccan art on display. You'll have satellite TV and Wi-Fi.

Fabulous stay with fabulous staff
This hotel is amazing! Spotlessly clean and the food is incredible - plenty of variety and very fresh. Pool has lots of activities throughout the day and the night time entertainment is not to be missed. The staff here fantastic and work incredibly hard to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Special mentions go to Abdulmoula on reception and Mohammed, Samir and Imad at the bar. It was our first time at this hotel but it won't be our last - we can't wait to return.
A nice hotel, good food, extremely hot weather, not recommended for English speaking travellers
We just spent a week here as a couple (both 20). We booked with loveholidays which was good as there is a rep in the hotel and a rep waiting for us at the airport so can’t fault anything there. The rooms are nice very clean and absolutely nothing to fault in them. It’s two twin beds pushes together but extremely comfortable, good size fridge, couch, nice bathroom. We didn’t use our balcony at all as there were these large ‘paper wasps’ which were very scary lol. We had a garden view so maybe this is why we had that problem. The food is good in the hotel, definitely something for everyone and a good variety each evening. We had Japanese night with fresh noodles and chicken dishes and sushi, kebab night, roast chicken night, lots of pasta dishes, amazing pizza, fab salads, always plenty of good options. Making the most of all inclusive alcohol is made as difficult as possible in this hotel! If you are at the animated pool where the music is good games are fun etc then you will struggle to drink throughout the day. For a couple our age this was a bit annoying as a cocktail at the pool would have been nice but the pool bar had no spirits so to get alcohol you would have to cover up and go inside the hotel bar which is a lot as it is so hot! In the evenings we found the waiters hugely favoured non English speaking travellers, they would serve them their drinks to the patio but ignore us and leave us to go inside even though we left huge tips! (Dihram equivalent to 20€) on the very rare occasion that we were served a drink. This seems to be a theme throughout the hotel, the French are favoured in the queues for food, at the food truck and in the buffet as well as at the standing bar. It was quite annoying. I even seen some french women being given special cocktail glasses with fruit etc while we were served drinks in plain tall glasses. Which is annoying when you are all paying for the same experience! During the day at the pool there are speakers which the lifeguards explain what activities are on during the day. This was done all through French luckily I have some French so I could get the gist but if you didn’t you would be completely confused everyday and definitely miss out! The nightclub was fun, pretty empty some evenings however a special mention to Imad who was the only bartender to take care of us during our entire stay! He was brilliant, made us special house cocktails and served us to our table even when the nightclub was busy. The weather is good, but definitely you have to be up early, we experienced 28-35 in the early morning which is when we stayed by the pool and it was bearable. Once it passes lunch time it is always over 40 so we would go up to our room for a nap or have a drink in the bar at these hours as it is quite unbearable. The pool is not cold it is literally a bath so it doesn’t offer much relief! Stock up on suncream before you come as it is 20€ a bottle in the shop here. The shop has some snacks, crisps chocolate, biscuits, sweets, ice creams. All quite adorable which was nice and also needed as breakfast finishes at 10am so if you miss this you can’t eat until lunch at 1pm. The food truck by the pool is a nice addition, they burgers served from 12:30pm everyday we had some days, they are turkey burgers with nice salad and good bread. Also hot dogs available and beer. (No spirits) however it is plagued by wasps so it’s quite uncomfortable to queue at and to eat in the seating area. I wound recommend getting a midday flight coming home as we were forced to check out at 11am, we requested late checkout but it wasn’t possible. So we spent a long day waiting in the lobby until our transfer at 5pm for our 8pm flight. The ATM in the hotel was broken for our whole stay and they cannot give you cash from your card at reception, we had to go into Marrakesh to get cash! The shop in hotel is cash only and you need cash for tips so get this in airport. We went into Marrakesh two evenings, one evening to Menara Mall which was nice, good shopping and lots of nice restaurants. We then went one evening to McDonald’s in Guéliz which is meant to be like ‘modern marrakech’ lots of shops like ZARA etc. However this area was dodgy, we were approached by children begging etc so I wouldn’t recommend it. If you are planning to leave the hotel at any point use this taxi number, his name is Yusif, he was the best and safest taxi driver we found, I got his number from a friend who visited last year, you message him over WhatsApp and he will collect you at the hotel bring you wherever you want to go and then collect you and bring you back for 250dihrams, a much better price than any others and you know you are safe with him! He speaks good English and will always make sure you know where he will pick you up (where it is safe) and he is always on time +212 646-576263 Overall, an enjoyable holiday, we wouldn’t return based on the heat as it is just not enjoyable for the majority of the day. A good hotel if you want a very relaxed holiday and nice food.
Amazing hotel, great service and fantastic staff!
My experience at the hotel was super lovely - they have a wide range of activities for you to get involved in, three pools, great selection of food from the buffet and each evening they have entertainment for you to join along with. A massive thank you to Ayoub who works at the Zen Bar, who was so friendly, went above and beyond to makes us feel comfortable and made us all constantly laugh! He provided such a great service and was so friendly to all the guests. Yati and Maoud for being such great entertainers and again for making us feel so comfortable. The cleaning staff and catering team who work really hard to make sure everyone is happy and provide really high standard of customer service. Overall my experience at the hotel was great and I'd definitely recommend going!
