Copenhagen Admiral Hotel
6157 reviews
Perfectly situated in the very heart of Danish capital along the Nyhavn, the elegant Copenhagen Admiral Hotel is set in a historic, heritage-listed building from the 18th century. The former warehouse has an interior design with a maritime touch, with ships models and most of the rooms boasting wooden beams. The Royal residence Amalienborg Palace, Amaliehavn Garden, the Royal Danish Playhouse, Gefion Fountain, the Citadel and the world-famous Little Mermaid statue are in the surrounding area; the city centre with the Tivoli Gardens and the Strøget shopping street are within walking distance.

Nice hotel but some issues
This is a nice hotel conveniently located close to all the main attractions that Copenhagen has to offer. On arrival we asked for some bath robes as they are not provided as standard, after waiting over an hour for these to arrive at our room we were about to call reception but noticed that the telephone in the room had the handset missing! We went to reception to report the issue and the staff were very apologetic and moved us to a much better room with a nice view. The room was very warm and the air conditioning didn't seem to function but as the hotel is in a very quiet position we could sleep with the window open. The tea/coffee making facility didn't have any decaf coffee sachets and the long life milk was eight months out of date. Breakfast selection was good but not great, the hot food on offer was a bowl of luke warm scrambled egg, a small sausage and a piece of bacon.
My “Imaginary” Bed Bugs and a Broken Promise
There is no doubt: This is a classy, atmospheric hotel by the harbor, but when you’re bitten by bed bugs for only the second time in your life, it colors your experience. It doesn’t help when the hotel refuses to believe you, either. Yes, I did get a new room, but the bugs sit in your clothes and travel with you whether you get a harbor view or not. And it sure affects your sleep quality. A lady in the reception that checked the room with an expert ended up promising I would get compensated when I checked out, but when I turned in my key card, I was told she’d been overruled by her boss. But if you’re not sensitive to bugs and broken promises, you’ll probably be more than fine. However, if you do get bitten, remember to take pictures of the tiny blood spots the bed bugs leave on the sheet or mattress. Also, take pictures of your rash no matter where it is on your body. Originally, it was my plan to stay at the otherwise classy hotel again later this month, but why would I do that to myself after such an experience?
Perfect Hotel / Restaurant 2022
Beautiful hotel. Room was very clean and beautifully laid out. Very very comfortable. Bathroom equally perfect. The in house restaurant ‘Salt’ served spectacular food in the evening. The breakfast served in the same restaurant as part of my deal was Spectacularly fantastic. Loved this Hotel
