Very good hotel!

May 2022 | ThiagoRRGomes

The hotel is very well located, in a walking distance to the Grand Place and many other attractions of Brussels city center. The room was really big and very comfortable. The food served for breakfast was also really good! The staff was always very helpful and attentive! We also used the swimming pool and the sauna one night and, despite of being very crowded, the experience was positive! We surely recommend this hotel and would surely stay there again in our next visit to Brussels.

Never ever again!

It was my 2nd time there. Hotel has perfect location. breakfast service was good. Room cleaning was not so not good. Sockets in my room were not working even though I informed reception, nothing has changed and I need to charge my items out of hotel or in bar of hotel. Reception staff is not friendly and later on I found out why there were so just because their front office manager Lady was the worse than them. She was so rude, not helpful. Anything can happen in hotel business but no rude staff, unacceptable.

The male receptionists need to go on a charisma course, unhelpful when we were moved here from a nearby Holiday Inn.

We were not meant to stay at this hotel but we’re reallocated here when the nearby Holiday Inn was not ready for opening. We were advised by the receptionists at the Holiday Inn, who were extremely helpful, that full arrangements had been made with the Novotel and nothing extra was due to be paid. We arrived to find the two rudest male receptionists on the Sunday night who said we had to pay around €100 for the room and when I challenged this they just literally shrugged their shoulders saying pay it or you have no room. I went back to the Holiday Inn who apologised and ten minutes later I headed back to the Novotel where I was provided with my keys. Only one of the male receptionists called Diego was on the desk at that point who offered no apology, very little conversation at all except handing over the the keys and telling us our room number. The hotel reception area itself is bright, airy and modern. I would say welcoming but sadly it had the two ignorant receptionists on the desk. The room was clean and comfortable but rather uninspiring, lacking colour just brown walls and plastic feel curtains . Just a typical chain hotel I suppose. I saw the rack rate on the wall was around €225 which personally I would never pay for this lifeless room but everyone to their own. I previously stayed at the Novotel off Grand Place and would always recommend that one over this one.
