Light, bright and airy

A light bright and airy hotel with extremely friendly staff and a good location. Every member of staff we spoke to during our stay was very friendly and took time to ask us about our experience in a genuine manner.

Welcoming hotel with a Nordic flair

The hotel is centrally located in Ixelles near the Luise metro. The staff is friendly and multilingual. The design of the lobby is cosy and, yes, hygge. The rooms are also nicely designed, if a bit sparsely furnished. I missed a comfortable armchair, there was only the bed and a not so comfortable desk chair. The bathroom was very spacious with nice tiles. However, it was unclear to me why the heater was placed in the shower and why, in a new hotel bathroom, the partition between the shower/bathtub and the room is so narrow that you end up submerging the floor despite being very careful. The hotel seems very new. Everything is still new, shiny and in order. Breakfast offered a wide choice and was served in a very nicely designed part of the ground floor. The hotel seems to attract a young, business crowd.

NICE BUT...

Hygge hotel is nice hotel with helpful staff and close to the city centre (20 minutes walking to Grand Place). But there were some things that weren't ok. There is not elevator after second floor. That meant we had to carry our luggage from 2nd to 3rd floor. The room heater wasn't working. The amenities in the bathroom were poor (no body lotion). Finally, you couldn't take a shower standing up in the bathtub since it was situated in a small corner. I wish they fix all this stuff because it is a nice hotel after all
