Bless Hotel Ibiza

Bless Hotel Ibiza is a beachfront hotel on the north-east coast of Ibiza. The hotel sits just along from Cala Nova beach with a dramatic backdrop of rocky cliffs and pine-covered hills. The rustic shoreline has shallow waters and is popular with surfers. The hotel is decorated in a traditional Spanish style with a palette of earthy tones and wooden furnishings. The restaurant and bar areas are open and spacious. They have floor-to-ceiling windows offering views over the pool and surrounding landscape. Rooms have a similarly open feel with touches of green and tiled floors. Outside, there's a tiled sun terrace with plenty of space to lounge in the sunshine. As well as soaking up the sun you can take in views of the Mediterranean from here. For some shade, you can sit back beneath a sail-like canopy while enjoying an impressive panoramic view. You can also relax in the pool bar area while sipping on a cool drink. During the day you can enjoy the garden of palm trees with a book or, if you're feeling energetic, take part in activities such as aerobics or aqua aerobics classes. The hotel also has a mini golf course and a pool table.

Cala Nova beach, 50m from the hotel, is a spacious stretch of sand that's a favourite with families. You can try your hand at surfing the waves or snorkelling to find fish hiding among the rocks. The town and beach of Es Canar is 100m from the hotel. Here you'll find relaxed bars and restaurants set around the town's quaint harbour, serving both international and local food. For some retail therapy, you can visit the nearby market of Punta ArabÌ. This colourful market offers a variety of clothes, shoes and leather goods. It's also popular for its many jewellery stalls.

You can wander into Es Canar to find Italian or Chinese restaurants, as well as British-style pub food. From here you can also take a bus to Ibiza's third-largest resort, Santa Eulalia. The town is popular with families, boasting a marina with seafood restaurants and a street that's pedestrianised in the evening for outdoor dining.

The hotel provides entertainment such as live shows during the day and in the evening. There's also entertainment for the kids and a nightclub for adults.

Rooms at Fiesta Cala Nova have a spacious feel, with floor-to-ceiling windows leading out to a balcony or terrace. Each room has air conditioning.

Sleep Quality

Style over substance

We spent three nights at Bless Hotel Ibiza in the last week of their season. We were booked into their highest category suite, Bless Your Mediterranean Suite (only one Presidential Suite above that level) and were on the whole disappointed. The main issue was the design and quality of the room. It felt like four separate spaces with no flow, and none of them worked well. The bedroom space had no bedside table on one side of the bed, so we had to leave everything on the floor. There were NO overhead lights in the bedroom or living room area, the only light came from one bedside lamp. The chaise longue in the living area was made from a nasty wipedown material and faced the internal wall not the ocean view! You can't leave the bathroom blinds open as a) you are then fully visible and b) the room heats like a sauna from the direct sun. And the lights in the bathroom are of course too few and too dim. The shower leaked everywhere into the bathroom as it was poorly designed with no step in and not properly sealed. The air conditioning made a repetitive grinding noise 24/7. To be fair they offered us a room change because of this but we had already unpacked and always travel with ear plugs, but I think it was indicative of the low quality build of this hotel. The floors through the room were tiled but the grouting was broken and cracked everywhere. The balcony door didn't lock properly. It all jsut felt a little cheap. While we were there we learned that this property was until two years ago a three star package hotel, now given a makeover and presented as a five star design hotel. That explains a lot. The weird layout of our room - presumably the result of merging several smaller rooms. The poor quality of the conversion. And the lack of true 5 star spaces inside. For this we paid £500 a night, a very good deal for this hotel as it was the very end of the season: in peak they will try and charge you double that or more for this room. The staff were lovely and the setting on the bay is nice, as is the pool area. But you are basically stuck out here on the edge of a pretty downmarket tourist village (Es Canar) and the hotel does not live up to its own hype.

Fantastic week at a beautiful hotel

Perfectly situated right on the beach of Cala Nova, this hotel is the ideal place to come and relax for a week. Beautiful, simple and elegant rooms with a good size balcony. Fantastic pool areas and views across the cove. Good value and delicious poolside food. And, finally but most importantly there is a great team of people working there, who are extremely helpful. Particularly the reception, housekeeping and room service teams. We look forward to returning soon.

Perfect Vacations

Our first surprise was the fact that this high end and luxurious place admits kids; we were able to plan an unforgetable family vacay. The hotel its beautiful, the views incredible.... We loved the food at Epic and the cocktails in Llum are spectacular. This hotel and its personnel are very focused in details, that is very present in the service you get in every area.. Everyone was very warm and with a clear knowledge of what its necesary to deliver the experience people pay for. The kids loved spending time at the pool and were always looking forward to the sweets and jelly beans station at breakfast. The Spa is a true oasis and a must at your stay. We definetly loved it and will be back hopefully very soon.
