Izmir weather in November tends to be quite wet with more rainfall than usual. However, there’s plenty to do on rainy days thanks to the city’s rich culture and historical landmarks.
Geographical influences
The cooler temperatures in November make it a great time to visit if you plan on doing a lot of sightseeing during your stay. Head to the Roman Agora of Smyrna, which is an amazing open-air museum and archaeological site that offers a fascinating glimpse into the city’s past. If you don’t mind the walk, the Velvet Castle is worth a visit with stunning views and ancient artefacts from a by-gone era.
