The weather is quite cold in February with temperatures remaining steady in the low-teens for most of the month. It’s a great time to visit for sightseeing thanks to the cooler climate and lack of huge crowds at the main archaeological sites.

Izmir is the third largest city in Turkey and you’ll find it nestled on the country’s beautiful Aegean Coast. It’s the perfect destination for a classic sightseeing holiday because of its unique past and rich culture. During your stay, you’ll have plenty to keep you entertained such as the Velvet Castle that overlooks the city from its hilltop position, offering stunning views and a fantastic spot for a family picnic.
