What's the weather like in Izmir in April?
Located in the west of Turkey, Izmir is a popular beach resort on the country’s beautiful Aegean coast. It has a Mediterranean climate which brings hot, dry summers and mild, damp winters to the city. Temperatures are starting to get nice and warm in April, which is a great month to visit if you want to explore the coast and go sightseeing. You’ll see plenty of sunshine if you go to Izmir in April, although it’s best to expect the occasional shower.

The average temperature this month is 15ºC in Izmir, reaching highs of 20ºC in the peak of the afternoon. Although it’s t-shirt weather during the day, you’ll need to bring some warmer clothes for evenings out at the local bars and restaurants, as temperatures dip to an average low of 9ºC at night. Any showers are likely to be short-lived, with just under 50mm of rain expected over the course of nine days. If you want to swim in the sea, the Aegean water is a refreshing 17ºC in April.
