What's the weather like in Amalfi in April?
Located on the south-west coast of Italy, Amalfi is a historic town with a spectacular natural setting. It has a Mediterranean climate which brings hot summers and mild winters to the area. In April, temperatures are warm and there’s an average of six hours of sunshine to enjoy each day. A few days see some wet weather this month, but there’s a similar amount of rain most of the year, so you shouldn’t worry about this when deciding when’s best to visit Amalfi.
The average high temperature in Amalfi reaches 18ºC in the warmest part of the afternoon, perfect for sightseeing and exploring the beautiful towns along the coast. Although it’s warm during the day, things get quite cool after sunset. Temperatures dip to 8ºC at night, so you’ll need to bring some warmer layers with you. Around 40mm of rain’s expected over the course of ten days, so you can expect any showers to be short-lived. If you like swimming, Amalfi’s waters are a brisk 16ºC in April.
