What's the weather like in Amalfi in September?

Sitting on the southwest coast of Italy, Amalfi is a beautiful town with lots of history and spectacular scenery. It has a Mediterranean climate that brings hot summers and mild winters to the region, with temperatures starting to cool down in September. You’ll still have many warm, sunny days at this time of year, so you can enjoy plenty of days at the beach this month.

The average temperature reaches a high of 26ºC in Amalfi over September, and with strong UV levels it’s important you protect yourself with plenty of sun cream at this time. Temperatures dip to 15ºC after dark, so you’ll probably want a light jumper or cardigan for evenings out in the town. With around 45mm of rain, September’s one of the wetter months of the year in Amalfi, but the area does get rain at all times of the year. You can look forward to eight hours of sunshine each day at this time, while the Tyrrhenian Sea’s a lovely 25ºC this month, perfect for swimming.
