What’s the weather like in Goa in September?
Located along the Arabian Sea, Goa has a tropical monsoon climate on the southwest coast of India. In September, Goa’s monsoon season is coming to an end and the dry season’s in sight. Although there’s lots of rain over the course of the month, showers are less frequent and the sun shines for the majority of the day. Temperatures in September are very hot, so make sure you pack lots of light, airy clothing and stay hydrated.
Daytime temperatures in Goa hover around 28°C on average, and with highs of 32°C it’s important you seek shade in the peak of the day. At night the temperature dips only slightly to 26°C, so you’ll be grateful for air conditioning. At this time of year Goa has around 250mm of rain across the month. It’s likely you’ll experience some wet weather, although any showers are usually heavy but short-lived. With seven hours of sunshine each day and sea temperatures at a bath-like 30°C, September is a great time of year for relaxing on Goa’s many beaches.
