Weather in Egypt
Egypt is a sun-drenched country that has an excellent year-round climate with very high temperatures, low humidity and not much rain.
The best time to go to Egypt is in the winter when the average temperature is a comfortable 23°C and you won’t feel overwhelmed by the heat.
Late spring and summer are the hottest times of the year with temperatures reaching highs of 38°C. A high factor sun cream is a must, especially from 12pm to 3pm when the sun is at its strongest. The overall average daily temperature during high season is around 33°C. If you love the sun and heat, the best time to visit Egypt is during the high season.
Egypt is separated from the Middle East by the Red Sea, which is very mild at around 27°C for most of the year. Most of the country is dominated by the Sahara Desert, which has very warm weather throughout the year.
Cooler temperatures come in the winter, but it’s still very warm and the humidity is low and comfortable. There’s not much rainfall with just a few scarce showers spread over the year in short and light bursts.
