Hurghada

Located along 40km of Egypt’s Red Sea coast, Hurghada enjoys a very hot climate all year-round, with temperatures rarely falling below 20˚C.

If you’re a fan of swimming in the sea and scuba diving, the best time to go to Hurghada is in the summer when the average water temperature is an enjoyable 28˚C. The clear waters along the resort’s coast are known for scuba diving and snorkelling and you’ll get to explore the coral reefs.

The warmest month is August, with an average daily temperature of 30˚C, you’ll spend a lot of your time relaxing on the beach and applying sun protection all over.

There’s an average of 13 hours of sunlight per day in the warmer and brighter months, which runs from June to the end of September. Late autumn begins to see less sunshine, but it’s still very warm and you’ll have at least seven to nine hours of sunlight a day.

Annual rainfall is very minimal, with most months having no rain at all. The dry, hot climate is great if you don’t mind the heat, but can feel very humid in the peak of summer. A refreshing sea breeze blowing in from the Red Sea cools you down at peak times of the day.

If you need a break from the heat, the best time to visit Hurghada is in the winter and early spring. Temperatures are cooler at this time, but still very warm and in the mid-twenties.
