What's the weather like in Cancun in October?
The location of Cancún on Mexico’s stunning Yucatán Peninsula gives means it has a tropical climate. You'll love the weather and its idyllic Caribbean Sea setting. In October you can look forward to plenty of heat and sun, although it’s also one of the wettest months of the year.
Climate
Cancún has high temperatures all year round as well as a distinct rainy season. The wet season’s from May to October, and the dry season’s from November to April. You'll get less rain in October than September, which is the wettest month, although rain often comes in short and heavy downpours, and you'll still get lots of lovely blue skies at this time.

The average high in Cancún during October’s 31ºC, and things stay nice and warm in the evenings. Don’t fill your suitcase with lots of heavy clothes as temperatures only drop to 22ºC at night, so you can leave plenty of space for your beachwear and party outfits. The sea temperature’s a warm 29ºC, while humidity’s high. Average rainfall’s 177mm over 11 rainy days. You can expect 12 hours of daylight each day with seven hours of sunshine. Look after your skin with plenty sun cream when you're in the sun as UV levels will be very high. Sunset’s around 6.30pm through most of October.
