What’s the weather like in Kalkan in April?
Located on Turkey’s Turquoise Coast in the south-west of the country, Kalkan is a beautiful old fishing village that’s grown into a popular holiday destination. It has a Mediterranean climate which brings hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters to the resort. Temperatures are climbing in April while the amount of rain halves from its level in March. This is a great month to visit if you want to go sightseeing in the local area or enjoy the beaches away from the busy crowds and the peak heat of summer.
In April, the average temperature in Kalkan is 14ºC, reaching highs of 19ºC in the hottest part of the afternoon. It’s warm enough to spend some time on the beach during the daytime, but you’ll need some warmer things for evenings out, as temperatures fall to a cool 8ºC after the sun goes down. There’s 40mm of rain forecast over eight days in April, but you can still look forward to nine hours of sunshine each day. If you want to go for a dip in the sea, the Mediterranean waters are a refreshing 17ºC this month.
