    Altinkum weather August

What’s the weather like in Altinkum in August?

August is one of the best times to visit Altinkum because the weather is beautiful with very high temperatures and unlimited sunshine. Soak up the sun on honey-hued beaches before cooling down in the sea when you need a break from the heat.

    Geographical influences

Altinkum is a popular beach resort on Turkey’s south-west coast. It’s located in the Bodrum region and has a traditional Mediterranean climate with long, hot summers that often reach the low 30s. The area is home to three Blue Flag beaches and within close proximity to the ancient Temple of Apollo. If you’re on holiday with the kids, take them to the nearby water park to cool down from the heat while you enjoy a cocktail by the beach bar.

August is the hottest month of the year, so you can expect temperatures reaching highs of 33°C throughout the month. At night, the weather cools off slightly to a more comfortable temperature of 21°C. It very rarely rains in August. In fact, the expected rainfall is virtually non-existent at 0mm. So, it’s safe to assume you won’t need your umbrella during your stay. The sea is the perfect temperature for an afternoon swim and you’ll also get to enjoy sea breezes that reach up to 12mph in the summer. You’ll also have 13 hours of beautiful sunshine per day with an average humidity of 65%.
