    Goynuk weather August

What’s the weather like in Goynuk in August?

The Goynuk weather in August attracts lots of visitors, thanks to its bright blue skies and hot temperatures. It’s the warmest time of the year here on Turkey’s southern coast, in the Antalya region, and it’s a paradise for sunbathers, beach goers, golf fans and water sport lovers.

    Geographical influences

Goynuk enjoys an idyllic location on the Turkish Riviera, between the popular resorts of Beldibi and Kemer, lined by the Mediterranean and the Gulf of Antalya. The vast inland Taurus Mountains run parallel to the sea. These mountains help block any colder winds moving from the north to south and generally keep Goynuk a little warmer than other resorts which are affected by these winds.

If you want to relax by the beach, your hotel pool or tour the area on sunny days, then you’ll love the weather in Goynuk in August. Pack plenty of light summer clothes, because the average daytime temperature hits 30°C. This can rise by a few degrees on hotter days, dropping to an average low of 20°C. The average night time temperature is a cool 19°C. Make sure you keep your sunglasses with you, because August is full of sunshine. You can expect 13 hours each day during the month and the days are long too, with the sun not setting until 8pm at the beginning of August. The Mediterranean Sea is at its warmest during this month, averaging a balmy 28°C, which is great if your kids fancy a paddle in the blue waters. The UV index is high so make sure you use plenty of sunblock and carry water with you in the high heat and humidity. Rainfall is low at just 21mm and the humidity is 69%.
