What’s the weather like in Malcesine in May?
Malcesine is a lovely old town on the shores of Lake Garda in northern Italy. With beautiful scenery and a comfortable climate, the town has mild weather through the year. There are signs of summer in May, though, and temperatures are getting warmer as the month goes on. Malcesine has quite damp summers, and although it’s not the wettest month of the year, you can still expect to see some showers if you visit in May.
The average high in Malcesine reaches a pleasant 24ºC at this time of year, although with lows of 13ºC when the sun goes down, it can feel cool in the evenings. As well as some warmer layers for the nights, you’ll need a waterproof jacket or umbrella, as around 90mm of rain falls over the course of 14 days in May. Despite the chance of rain, you can still look forward to seven hours of sunshine each day during this month.
