What's the weather like in Kalamaki in September?
Located on the southeast coast of Zante, not far from Laganas, Kalamaki is a lovely Greek beach resort. It has a Mediterranean climate bringing hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. In September, temperatures are starting to cool down after the peak months of July and August. Conditions are still very warm at this time of year though, and the weather’s perfect for relaxing at the beach, trying out new watersports or going on boat trips around the coast.Averages
The average temperature in Kalamaki is 24ºC in September, rising to a high of 28ºC in the hottest part of the afternoon. Remember to bring plenty of sun cream with you, as the sun’s strong and shines for ten hours each day. After dark, the average low cools to 19ºC, which is just right for enjoying an al fresco meal with a view out to sea. Around 35mm of rain’s expected over the course of three days in September, so showers are still quite rare at this time of year. When it’s time to cool off in the sea, the Ionian waters are a warm 25ºC this month.
