    Geographical influences

Located on the southern shores of Kos, Kardamena is a traditional Greek village that’s become one of the most popular holiday resorts on the island. It’s around 29 kilometres from Kos Town, so day trips to and from the capital shouldn’t be too difficult by taxi or bus. The climate is very warm in June, so remember to wear sun cream and try to stay out of the sun during the hottest time of day. The town is set against the Kalymnos and Kappari mountains, which shelter the sandy bays of town and helps keep the cooler weather at bay.
