What’s the weather like in Playacar in October?
You’ll see some tropical showers this month, but the Playacar weather in October is still hot and full of sunshine. This stunning Mexican beach resort has a fantastic Caribbean climate with September and October the wettest time of the year.
Geographical influences
Playacar enjoys an idyllic setting on the east coast of Mexico. It’s on the popular Yucutan Peninsula, just south of Cancun. The wet season’s from May to October but the short and brief downpours will give way to clear and blue skies. Conditions are made more comfortable by the refreshing sea breeze from the Caribbean but away from the coast it’ll be hotter and more humid.

Get ready for lots and lots of warm sunshine, even though you should be prepared for showers too. The weather in Playacar in October is typical of the region in autumn. The Caribbean climate produces an average daytime temperature of 27°C, which can rise to a high of 31°C on hotter days. The night time temperature drops to around 21°C on average. You can take a refreshing dip in the clear waters and the sea will be about 28°C at this time of the year. The sun shines for an average of eight hours each day here, near Cancun, with the sun not setting until around 6.30pm in October. The average rainfall’s 218mm over 14 wet-weather days. Pay attention to the high UV and humidity levels as well and take sunblock and water with you when you’re relaxing by the beach, your pool or at the nearby golf courses of Playacar.
