    Geographical influences

    The picturesque town of Bansko is found at the base of Bulgaria’s Pirin Mountains, about 925m above sea level. Winter here in south west Bulgaria lasts between December and April and the snow is often deeper on the northern faces of the higher mountains above Bansko.
