What’s the weather like in Bali in May?
With its tropical climate, the Indonesian island of Bali is just eight degrees south of the equator, ensuring temperatures stay warm all year round. May marks the start of the dry season in Bali, so while there may be a few refreshing showers at this time of year, the risk of rain falls as the month goes on. When packing for your holiday, make sure you bring high factor sun cream, long light layers and a hat to protect yourself from the strong sun.
Averages
In May, the days in Bali are hot yet bearable, with an average daytime temperature of 28°C. The hottest part of the day can reach 33°C, so it’s a good idea to seek shade as the sun is very strong. Temperatures go down to 23°C at night, which is much more comfortable for sleeping. In May, the island enjoys around nine hours of sunshine each day with 70mm of rain expected over nine days.
