    Miami weather January

What’s the weather like in Miami in January?

Miami is in Florida in the southeast United States. It has a tropical climate as it’s close to the Tropic of Cancer. It won’t feel like winter if you're going to the Sunshine State in January, although you'll have cooler temperatures than over the summer. It’s one of the driest months of the year though, and you'll get plenty of sun at this time. This is the perfect time to visit Miami if you'd rather avoid the hotter summer months when it rains more. Winds that come across the North Atlantic Ocean will also help to keep you cool.

    Averages

The average high in Miami is 24ºC in January, which cools to quite a pleasant 16ºC at night. The sea temperature is 24ºC, which is lovely for swimming, while humidity’s low. There’s 61mm of rain over seven days, and you can expect 11 hours of daylight with seven hours of sunshine each day. UV levels will be high so bring plenty of sun cream. The sun goes down at around 6pm for much of the month.
