    Belek weather August

What’s the weather like in Belek in August?

Belek weather in August is perfect for sunny beach holidays, lounging by your hotel pool or even playing a round of golf at one of the resort’s excellent golf courses. Belek is on Turkey’s magnificent Mediterranean coastline and at this time of the year you’ll see lots of sunshine and hot temperatures.

    Geographical influences

Belek is in an idyllic spot on the Turkish Riviera, on the south coast by the Mediterranean Sea and the glorious Gulf of Antalya. The vast Taurus Mountains are set inland from the resort. These huge hills help to block any colder winds that may blow across Turkey from the north. This means Belek has slightly higher temperatures than some other Mediterranean towns in Turkey that are affected by these winds.

Get ready for lots and lots of sun and dry weather! The weather in Belek in August is magnificent. The Mediterranean climate produces an average daytime temperature of 28°C, which rise to a high of 34°C on hotter days. The night time temperature drops to around 21°C. You can take a refreshing dip in the clear Mediterranean waters and the sea will be about 28°C at this time of the year. The sun shines for an average of 13 hours each day here in the Antalya region of Turkey, with the sun not setting until around 8.15pm in July. You’ll have no need to worry about rain at this time because July gets just 2mm for the whole month on average. It’s not unusual for Belek to receive no rain throughout all of July. Pay attention to the high UV and humidity levels though and take sunblock and water with you when you’re relaxing by the beach, at the golf course or around the pretty towns and streets.
