    Marbella weather January

What's the weather like in Marbella in January?

With cool days and chilly nights, January is wintertime in the Spanish resort of Marbella.  Although temperatures are much cooler than the summer months, the Mediterranean climate brings fairly mild weather to the coast. This is ideal for sightseeing in the local area while avoiding the high season crowds. If you don’t mind lower temperatures and the occasional rain shower, January can be a good month for exploring Marbella and the countryside nearby.

In January, temperatures hover around an average of 11°C in Marbella. With highs of 15°C, the days can be pleasantly mild, but with night time lows of a cold 6°C, don’t forget to bring plenty of layers to stay warm on evenings out. Around 85mm of rain is forecast during January, with one day in every six expecting rain showers. Despite the cool temperatures and chance of rain, Marbella still has around six hours of sunshine each day, although it’s still too cold for the beach at this time of year.
