What’s the weather like in Albufeira in March?
As spring arrives, the Mediterranean coastal resort of Albufeira begins to experience warmer temperatures and sunnier days. Although temperatures on the Algarve are still quite mild, March is the perfect time to explore the local sights without sweltering in the heat of the summer. It can be showery at this time of year, so make sure you take a light waterproof jacket in case of rain.Averages
Albufeira has an average daytime temperature of 14°C in March, with highs of 18°C in the hottest part of the day, and lows of 9°C at night. With a combination of both cool and warm temperatures, you’ll need to bring plenty of layers to stay warm in the evening. With sea temperatures around 16°C, swimming is still quite chilly so you’ll need to be brave if you want to take a dip. There are approximately 12 wet days in March, so don’t forget an umbrella. Showers are usually short-lived, and each day has around seven hours of sunshine.
