With temperatures nearing 30°C and hours of sunshine, the Riviera Maya weather in February means you’ll have a fantastic winter break to this Mexican hotspot. This stunning stretch of golden beaches is much drier than in the summer and autumn months.
Geographical influences
The Riviera Maya, which includes the pretty resorts of Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Xcaret and Puerto Aventuras, enjoys a year-round hot tropical climate. The dry season’s between November and April and you’ll benefit from a cool coastal breeze from the Caribbean Sea. Resorts further inland don’t get the benefit of this wind.
